My check engine light comes on and stays on sometimes, but then sometimes it blinks on and off. Anyone know how to check the engine codes or what the blinks mean?

When light blinks, it means the condition that is causing light to come on may do damage to engine( missfire codes, current, will cause blink) and cat.convertor( expensive part of exhaust)you need to scan and see what codes are comming up, most likely
