I'm thinking of buying a lightweight land rover (series 3) and putting in a V8 or V6 rover engine. How much do these engine blocks cost second hand and what adapter parts would I need ? Also how many mpg will it be achieving? Thanks in advance.

I don't know what he other three are on, but the Rover V8 is a common conversion for Air Portables (the proper name for lightweights), with all the parts readily available. The problem is I think you'll also need Salisbury Axles with the larger brake
